FANTASTIC
FROSTY FUN
Excitement for the Winter Carnival was evident throughout the hallways of Northport Public School this past week. Armed with cardboard, duct tape and their imagination, students and staff worked together to create sleds for the sixth annual Cardboard Sled Race at Braman Hill. Participants were grateful for the endless cups of hot chocolate that kept everyone warm despite the chilling wind and frosty temperatures. The fourth grade students were excited when their sled placed first in its initial run down the hill and then went on to become the winner this year. Way to go, Mr. Douglas' Class! For everyone else....there's always next year.

The Seuss Was On the Loose!
The Kindergarten Class was full of Seussical silliness today when they were visited by the Cat in the Hat himself! To celebrate Dr. Seuss' birthday, the Sixth Grade students brought a "thing or two" to their book buddies and spent time celebrating the literary genius of Theodor Geisel.

Humor Hits the Stage!
Storytelling took on a new form as the Sixth Grade Language Arts students performed the play, Why Do Heroes Have BIG Feet?. This humorous rendition, of some of the adventures of Paul Bunyan, Mike Fink and Johnny Appleseed, quickly had the audience laughing out loud. Well done sixth-graders.
